AimTo investigate seasonal indoor air quality (IAQ) in childcare facilities in Perth, Western Australia, and assess pollutant levels against established health guidelines.

ProcedureContinuous sampling of total volatile organic compounds, formaldehyde, nitrogen dioxide, carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide, and particulate matter (in six size fractions) was conducted over 24-hour periods in 22 childcare centers during both cold and warm seasons. Meteorological parameters (temperature and relative humidity) were also recorded. Locations were categorized as heavy traffic or low traffic.
